This past weekend, we threw my roommate a tea party bridal shower at the too-cute-for-words Upper East Side restaurant Kings’ Carriage House, which keeps two upstairs rooms specifically for high tea parties. The room, decked with a mural of the English countryside, was the perfect size for our 14-person high tea. It was a nice change of pace to enjoy my tea in such a lovely setting as opposed to heating up a mug of tea in my half-broke apartment microwave.

We were on the Upper East Side, we were sipping tea. Who are we kidding, it was so Gossip Girl.
