This past weekend, we threw my roommate a tea party bridal shower at the too-cute-for-words Upper East Side restaurant Kings’ Carriage House, which keeps two upstairs rooms specifically for high tea parties. The room, decked with a mural of the English countryside, was the perfect size for our 14-person high tea. It was a nice change of pace to enjoy my tea in such a lovely setting as opposed to heating up a mug of tea in my half-broke apartment microwave.
We were on the Upper East Side, we were sipping tea. Who are we kidding, it was so Gossip Girl.

The table is set

I just love yellow roses, which in Victorian times, symbolized jealousy. There's your fact of the day.

Reminds me of the tea pot from "Beauty and the Beast." Am I right?

Strawberries and mini crustless sandwiches on the top tier: salmon, cucumber, egg, chicken. Goat cheese tartelettes with mango and tomato (YUM) on the bottom tier.

Desserts! Poppy seed cake, Raspberry mousse gateaux, baby eclairs, lemon curd squares and shortbread cookies

This looks like it is right out of a movie! What a great idea for a bridal shower!
