Hot chocolate is obviously a cornerstone of winter, and if you live in New York City, you deserve the best dang hot chocolate in the world for this miserable weather we’ve been having. For the ultimate hot choc lover, head on over to The City Bakery for their annual hot chocolate festival, which doles out a different flavor each day all month long.

My girlfriend and I went Saturday for the caramel hot chocolate topped with City Bakery’s enormous, homemade marshmallows (about $6). It tasted pretty much like pure melted chocolate, and the marshmallow was a little too sweet even for me, but I’m always up for any sort of dessert-related event. If I had to go back — and I think I could handle only one more heavy hot chocolate — I’m thinking the banana peel flavor. For a full calendar of the flavors, check out their website below.
